Around 1 ½ hrs from Colombo by car or 30 mins by sea plane. Wide, fabulous, empty beaches with good surf. Close, but not too close, to the surf capital of Hikaduwa and the historic Dutch Fort town of Galle. Closer to the famed gardens of Bevis Bawa and his brother, SL's best known architect Geofrey Bawa's residence. Bentota is easy to get to and has lots to offer. |
