Ambalama literally means resting place and a more beautifully designed one will be hard to find. Located about 4km from Galle all the bedrooms face the ocean in a south westerly direction. |
| |
|
There are 4 ensuite air con bedrooms, one of which is a twin room, and two that have outdoor showers in the bathroom. The bedrooms are located either side of the swimming pool and all have louvered french shutters that lead onto the front lawn. |

It is not possible to swim the sea directly in front of the villa due to a reef that comes to the shore but whilst this makes the area wonderfully free of visitors it does provide quite a rare photo opportunity with stilt fishermen. With the huge red glow of the setting sun sliding into the sea behind him the photo of the stilt fishermen will be a life long friend back home. |

If sea swimming is your bag then there is a lovely lagoon about 75 yards up the beach where there is also a beach bar with chilled music and cold drinks. |

Ambalama is a lovely house. Very relaxing, stylishly designed, and close to the shops and life of Galle. |
