This is the last house designed by the world acclaimed Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa, hence the name. It is a fabulous family home basking at this end of the bay that can be seen in the picture above. |
| |
The beach stretches around the bay to the small village at the far end about 2km away and whilst a few houses and the odd cabana style restaurant appear in the palm trees every so often, it is otherwise deserted. |

The house itself consists of 5 bedrooms. All large and all ensuite, two are located upstairs with really amazing views out to sea. One of these, the master suite has a porcelain bath tub centred in the bathroom from which the views can be enjoyed. Very decadent. The other bedroom can be made as a twin, or a double, making these two rooms perfect for a small family. |

The other 3 bedrooms are on the ground floor and in separate buidings adjoining the main house. One of them has the most fabulous outdoor bathroom whilst another architectural gem is the robinson crusoe-like bedroom overlooking a small lagoon. |

As you might expect in a house designed by a master architect there is a fabulous kitchen ruled by a superb chef. In fact staying here is a feast of all the senses. |

The sand on the beach in front of the villa is hard, making it perfect for beach cricket, football, volleyball and all other games. A short stroll around to the next bay leads you to probably the best body boarding surf along this coast. Wave after wave roll in providing hours and hours of fun. |

Whilst the journey time to get to the villa by car can be a touch boring it can be significantly reduced by taking a helicopter but anyway once at this exclusive house, all such thoughts and fatigue evaporates. Have fun. |
