This magnificent beach villa sits discreetly amongst the best in Asia - in close proximity to Galle Fort and all the other attractions of the region.

From the first moment you enter this tropical gem, situated directly on a sandy beach and turquoise waters, you find yourself in a tranquil garden oasis the likes of which one very rarely sees on the coast.

Spread out over an acre, Elysium boasts a series of exceptionally manicured and scented gardens, a wonderful lotus pond, elegant living areas and plenty to keep guests entertained, indoors and outdoors alike.

Accommodation comprises four stylish suites, each housed in their own sizeable chalet with individual terraces and gardens. All the suites are air-conditioned and en-suite with twin vanities.  There is also a spacious fifth suite that has been designed with the younger guest in mind ­ hosting a number of bunk beds and can also accommodate a nanny.

The main building comprises a formal dining room and home cinema on the ground floor and a vast formal living room upstairs, with a library and study area, surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows which offer panoramic views of the Indian ocean and Sri Lanka¹s finest sunsets.

Unusually, this property also comes with a fully equipped and air-conditioned gym as well as a spa room for a post-workout massage. WiFi covers the whole property.

There is a 50-foot swimming pool, surrounded by sun loungers, which is perfect for strenuous laps. Perhaps more importantly, there is a spacious shallow area for children and adults alike to laze away an afternoon in the pool. An elegant poolside pavilion provides an ideal place for meals and quiet afternoon reading and snoozing.

The property has direct and private beach access and safe sea swimming is just a short stroll down the beach. One can occasionally see stilt fisherman perched in a reef nearby.

The covered beach pavilion, along with the beachside seating patio, which directly overlook the sea provide the perfect venue for all manner of uses whether it be sunset cocktails, dining under the stars or simply topping up one¹s tan on a lounger.

This is the ideal haven for a luxury beach holiday and comes fully staffed with chefs, butlers and stewards all working to ensure a spectacular stay.

An all round terrific experience! Tom and Jack at Eden Villas were superb in helping our huge party of 10 people plus baby get organised, patiently responding to endless emails, arranging airport transfers and ensuring a seamless holiday for us all.
Elysium provided us with a magical experience - it's absolutely stunning and beautifully appointed and, through the gates just metres away, is the ocean (so you can hear the sea if you are in one of the two ocean facing rooms)! Elysium is your own personal 6 star hotel, with a marvellous staff - we ate out every other night, so that we could sample the local venues, but none of them measured up to the dinners served up by the Elysium team. They set up the tables in the pool house, and once in the ocean house, and provided mouth watering meals which we agreed with them that morning. The breakfasts were huge and set us up for the day - once, we opted for the SriLankan breakfast (highly recommended!).
The gardens are simply stunning and beautifully maintained by the staff, who do everything quietly before we were even up and about.
The staff were superb - the happier we were, the happier they were! Nothing was too much trouble and everything was done with grace and kindness.
Truly a faultless holiday! Just one thing to bear in mind if you are thinking of renting Elysium - unlike most villa rentals, where you expect to cater for yourself to some degree, do a bit of food shopping, make your own drinks or grab some nibbles, Elysium is not really like that, and all the better for it … it's a personal private 6 star hotel but somehow, it still manages to feel like your own home!

Amazing holiday and fab villa. Staff were very helpful and good with the baby. Food was excellent if a bit on the expensive side.

EDEN VILLAS:
By and large the menu price at Elysium is prepared to cover costs and the owner does not seek to make a profit from it. Perhaps occasionally things can seem expensive but living here I do appreciate the quality of the food and consider it excellent value for money.
