A lovely newly built 2 bed beach villa designed with simple good taste. Just a few steps down the garden and out through the private gate leads onto one of the best beaches in Sri lanka. There is no pool yet but the ocean is crystal clear with small waves, excellent for kids and boogie boarding on the house boards.
Both bedrooms benefit from high ceilings with en suite and have extensive views over the garden and out to sea. French windows lead onto the wide veranda where all day seating, dining and general 'chilling' takes place. There is also an thatched pavilion in the garden near the sea where you can lie on cushions sheltering from the sun, listening to the breaking waves.
There are neighbours and currently no boundary wall dividing the large garden but they are often not there. Kurumba comes with a cook who arrives daily to prepare breakfast and to discuss lunch and dinner, that she will prepare. She will also clean and make the beds but other wise staying here is blissfully devoid of staff rushing around tripping over themselves trying to please. Kurumba is for those who want to be looked after but not fussed over and who want to get away.

Our biggest mistake : not having more time to stay ! Amazing location away of all craziness. Just us and the Sea ! Bedrooms full of charm and a 6 stars quality of service. The beach was only for us .... we thought ! We can recommend it!

We had a very nice time and the food, place and general ambience was very good indeed.
