A truly magnificent villa, it felt like home, only better. The villa, the pool, the grounds were absolutely amazing. The food is unbelievable, even with a fussy 3 year old daughter who enjoyed the food. Gayan and the crew made our stay so comfortable, we hope to visit again in 2012, we highly recommend to all.

Stella Beach Villa exceeded our expectations.

The rooms were tastefully designed and the beds were probably the best I've ever stayed in at a rental villa (ditto the very comfortable pillows).

The team that looked after us were really lovely and made our stay so easy. In particular they were incredibly good with my 9 month old baby. I'd been worried about travelling to Sri Lanka with him but they made it so simple - he had everything he needed on hand and they even looked after him for me while we ate sometimes.

The food was exceptional, particularly the Sri Lankan curries and accompaniments.

My husband is a keen surfer and headed out every morning while we watched from the garden. It was also nice to watch the fishermen from the beach.

The only slight criticism I'd have was that there weren't enough lounge chairs for our party, however I'm assured that is set to change very soon as there are plans for a new relaxation / dining area.

I would definitely recommend this villa and we are planning to go back in the future.

Modern simple villa amid cathedral like coconut palms overlooking a quiet coral and shell strewn beach with fantastic surf break offshore and 5k from beautiful Mirissa Beach for sandcastles and boogie boarding. Fantastic cook, child friendly pool and wonderful staff a perfect combination for a relaxing holiday. Would recommend highly.

The staff was so courteous and helpful. The food was amazing.

The pool, rooms and view was stunning.

We had such a fabulous time and will definitely be back in the near future!

Excellent is the key word for both, villa and staff. I will recommend Stella Beach for all my friends in Switzerland. The bbq was so great in the evening with privat fireworks...The swimming pool is to big ;o) and what a lovely surprise to discover sea-turtle just in front of "our" beach...

We stayed at Stella Beach in late November 2011 and although the weather was bad the stay at Stella Beach was excellent. The house itself is beautiful with nice rooms, good pool and great view. What sets it apart is the staff who go out of their way in making your stay pleasant. A special mention should go out to the cook, who not only prepared the best meals we had in Sri Lanka but also invited us to accompany him to shopping fresh fish, gave us a cooking lesson and in the end gave us a Sri Lankan cook book. Stella Beach is also great if you travel with children and once again the staff were great in making sure that the children also could enjoy this great place.
