The water sports capital of the south west coast with water skiing, wind surfing, deep sea fishing, jet skis, and the more gentle river cruise. Around 1 ½ hrs from Colombo by car or 30 mins by helicopter. Wide, fabulous, empty beaches with good surf. About 40 mins to the surf capital of Hikaduwa and a little further to the historic Dutch Fort town of Galle. Closer still to the famed gardens of Bevis Bawa and his brother, SL's best known architect, Geofrey Bawa's residence. Bentota is easy to get to and has lots to offer.
