Boundary House

With cultivated rice paddy fields on 3 sides The Boundary House is a haven of tranquility. A modern house set amidst a bygone era. Rise early for yoga in the dedicated shala overlooking the rice and meditate to Buddhist chanting from the nearby 2,000 yr old Temple.

Enter the private gates via a cement track that meanders through the fields and climb the steps to the raised garden leading to the house. There are two buildings each with two of the four bedrooms. The first building houses the kitchens and sitting room and has a wide verandah where the dining table is placed and enjoys views across the length of the property. Also in this building is the dedicated TV room.

The second building houses the main bedroom and a twin and also has a wide verandah elevated above the lawn with views across the pool towards the surrounding rice fields.

At the far end of the garden is the yoga shala.

Led by an experienced Manager the house team includes an excellent Chef and house keeping.

A stunning house set on an island amongst the paddy fields. Beautifully appointed rooms with gorgeous furniture and fittings. The staff in the house looked after our every need, nothing was too much trouble. The meals were prepared and served with the freshest of ingredients, so delicious, we were thoroughly spoilt from the moment we arrived until we left. The location is superb a tuk tuk to the beach takes around 10 minutes and Galle about 20 minutes. A great base from which to visit so many places on the south coast. From surfing beaches, to the turtle hatchery, whale watching to cocktails at sunset. Our whole family had the most amazing holiday at Boundary House and we thank everyone working at the house who made our New Year so very special. We left with wonderful memories, curry leaves and amazing recipes.

This was our third time in the Galle area, Sri Lanka (2 adults, 2 kids, 5 years old and 10 years old with 4 grand parents). Boundary House was one of the best places we stayed in. Perfect location in the middle of the rice paddy's, beaches within 10 minutes range, Galle within 15 minutes by tuktuk. 4 beautiful bedrooms, spacious, all with their own bathroom, a yoga pavilion, a TV room, an outdoor and indoor living and a great pool wide enough for some exercise. And a team that makes your stay simply perfect, with special compliments for the chef that could make both, great Sri Lankan curries and delicious western food. The extra concierge service (Udeshika) from Eden Villas who manages Boundary House made our stay even more luxurious. Hope to be back soon.
