A beautiful 6 bedroom house on the hill with wonderful views over the paddy fields and beyond. A century of history reborn in contemporary style nestled in the lush plantation hills of Weligama. A serene oasis in verdant gardens of tea, cinnamon and fruit trees, to recharge and soak in the wonderful Sri Lankan hospitality all within easy reach of the pristine southern beaches and the historic charm of Galle.

A truly serene oasis, this renovated old tea planters house has been lovingly restored to its original opulence and offers a natural and elegant platform overlooking the surrounding coconut palm canopy and verdant tea terraces.

On first entering the house through its wide covered veranda, you walk into the palatial hallway sitting room, with a high barrel vault ceiling and stunning collections of Sri Lankan antiques and contemporary pieces.

Off the hallway is the enchanting ‘Room of Curiosities’, which is the perfect place to curl up with a book or play a hand of cards. It can also act as an extra bedroom.

Antique chairs are dotted around the internal courtyard veranda while hammocks hold their own in the landscaped garden, so quiet escapes are many and varied. The art-deco styled ‘Folly’ is ideal for early evening drinks and debriefs as the sun slips over the horizon.  
 
The house has two veranda suites with private access to the main gardens, two luxury suites with their own private walled gardens and a twin bedroom that leads out onto the seating area on the front terrace.

The bedrooms are incredibly comfortable, contemporary in design, open, airy, have handsomely high ceilings, French windows, overhead fans and air-conditioning. Four of the suites each have generous and well appointed private bathrooms and dressing areas. The twin room has a separate bathroom off the veranda.
 
There is a stunning 23 metre salt-water pool with a view outstretched over the jungle and paddy fields to the coast.
 
This spectacular ‘love letter’ house sits among two acres of sculpted gardens surrounded by coconut palms, tea and coffee rows, pineapple groves, pepper and cinnamon vines, citrus trees and a spice and vegetable garden.

A dedicated and fantastic team of staff includes a Villa Manager, Villa chef, Maintenance, Housekeeping, Gardeners and Security.
